(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Mmmm Tasty!!!
Our little guy turned 6 months old today! Over the last few weeks, he's been getting increasingly excited around food, so we've given him the occasional taste - for example, here he's enjoying a wedge of peach from his mesh "feeder".
Tomorrow we're going to start solids for realsies! Our 6-pack of Baby Gourmet creamy brown rice cereal arrived this afternoon so we're going to start with that. (Upcoming review/giveaway alert!!),
At what age did you start your little one(s) on solids? What were their first foods?

So sweet! My guy started cereals at 4 1/2 months. Barley cereal was a great start for him. Rice cereal constipated him at that age.
ReplyDeleteI love when babies first show independence! Its priceless!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the good times are just starting to roll. Have fun with all the food tossing that will start happening sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteAw! My girls started around then. Actually Payton was about six months and she loved the rice cereal and baby mum mums and all that yummy baby stuff. Ainsley started around 4 1/2 months. We adopted her at that age and she was eating some mushy stuff already. She ate early and had teeth early. I used to joke she could eat a steak she had a full mouth of teeth by one. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteYum! My oldest's first solid foods were actually mashed sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie and stuffing. Yup, it was Thanksgiving! lol
ReplyDelete6 months already! My baby will be 1 year old this month. Times goes so quickly. Do you find time seems to be going faster with the second baby? I do.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, he is loving that peach!
ReplyDeleteWe did baby led weaning starring when my guy was about 6 months. He adored steamed carrots, green beans, banana, toast, etc. It was amazing! No fussing with purees-just gave him a slightly more cooked version of what we were eating (without salt, we like our veggies pretty crunchy-we just cooked them a bit longer for him at first). It's amazing what they can gum up :)
ReplyDeleteDD had one of those feeders too :) I think around 4 months as well.
