My "Big Bang" Daily To Do List

As a parent of a toddler and infant, there are a zillion things on my ideal To Do list every day and little time to get everything done! As such, I'm working on accepting that there will always be unchecked tasks and, instead, focusing my mind and body on those that will yield the biggest bang for the buck and doing these tasks efficiently.

In addition to table stakes items such as eating well, household chores, personal hygiene, etc., I've put together the following list of personal "big bang" daily To Dos. Many of these items take up very little time and/or can be combined with other activities. All of them, I feel, provide significant benefits on a short and/or long term basis.
  • Drink at least 6 glasses of water
  • Wear my mouth guard overnight
  • Take my supplements (multivitamin, iron, probiotic, fish oil) along with a protein shake
  • Give my (infant) son a vitamin D drop
  • Do my pelvic floor exercises (more on this in an upcoming post!)
  • Drink a tea to increase my milk supply
  • Get outside, at least for a little while (even on the coldest days!)
  • Get my heart rate up for at least 10-15 minutes
  • Spend one-on-one time with my daughter doing something creative
  • Engage in quality conversation with my husband

And a couple "don't do" items as well!
  • Eat heavy carbs after 8 PM (especially those containing gluten)
  • Waste time snoozing with my alarm clock

Do you follow a personal daily To Do (or "To Don't") list? What are some of the items on your own list?

  1. I so need to do my pelvic floor exercises. Pregnant with twins I'll be on loose gal after that ;) LOL!
But to be honest I don't follow a list..Maybe I should give it a try.

    1. I'll be writing a post shortly on pelvic floor health as I'm actually seeing a professional for this. I'm learning some really helpful info and tips so I'm eager to spread the word to other mamas (and mamas to be!) I'll link up when it's ready - hope you get a chance to check it out!

  2. Oh well does your mouth guard work? I need one of those.

    1. Definitely fewer headaches since wearing it regularly, plus presumably I'm saving my molars from wearing down further! (My prior grinding has already done a number on them. :-/)

  3. Wow. You're awesome. I need to do all of those too. Minus the breastfeeding part. My Little One self-weaned when she was almost 2 years old. Saddest day of my life! lol

  4. I don't have a daily to do list (other than getting my oldest off to school!)

  5. I was working away at to-do lists..I really must get back to it! They help so much!

  6. I think I might steal your to-do list for myself..lots on here that I should really be committing to doing too!

  7. Great list!! So many of those things are on my list too!
